Street-Style Chole

Ingredients:


  • 1 cup dried chole, soaked overnight.
  • 2 onions & 2 tomatoes chopped.
  • 4 garlic cloves, 1-inch piece ginger, 2-3 green chillies chopped.
  • 1 tps vegetable oil, 1 tps Swaaditi Jeera.
  • 1 tps Swaaditi Dumdaar Garam Masala
  • 1/2 tps Swaaditi Turmeric & Coriander Powder.
  • 1/2 tps Swaaditi Spicy-Laal Chilli Powder & salt.
  • 2 tps Swaaditi Street-Style Chole Masala.

Instructions:


  1. Cook soaked chole in a pressure cooker with water and a pinch of salt (about 4-5 whistles).
  2. Heat oil in a pan, add Swaaditi Jeera & chopped onions and sauté until translucent.
  3. Stir in garlic, ginger and green chillies. Cook until the raw aroma disappears.
  4. Add chopped tomatoes & cook until they become soft and oil separates from the masala.
  5. Add dry spices (Swaaditi Coriander, Turmeric Powder & Spicy-Laal Chilli Powder, salt & Swaaditi Street-Style Chole Masala). Cook for a few minutes.
  6. Add the cooked chole to the masala, mix well; add water. Cover the pan for 10-15 minutes.
  7. Sprinkle Swaaditi Dumdaar Garam Masala, garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve delicious Chole with rice/naan.
